About Us

My name is Rosie Kellett. I run CookCopycat, a site built for home cooks who want the restaurant dish without the restaurant bill. The site went live in September 2026.

Before this site, I worked as a line cook. Kitchen shifts taught me to move fast and stay calm under pressure. That training still shows up in how I test recipes today.

The copycat idea started small. I got tired of paying delivery fees for dishes I knew I could make myself at home for less.

One dish that took a while to get right was the queso from Papasitos El Sombrero. My early tries were close, but something was missing. I finally tried Mexican oregano, and that was it.

This site is for making the dish you had at a restaurant, without paying restaurant prices. Most recipes need only a stovetop or a sheet pan.

Thanks for stopping by.
